Counseling & Support Services

"Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers individual, group and couples treatment (or provides referrals to other agencies which provide similar services) for developmental, emotional, or interpersonal difficulties that arise during the educational process. We espouse a Counseling Center philosophy recognizing that our mission is to assist students in fulfilling their educational goals by helping them overcome obstacles that interfere with their ability to succeed in college."

In Winter of 2022, BYU CAPS started it's first ever DACA/undocumented student support group. We are grateful to CAPS for their allyship in creating this safe space for students who often feel alone in their experiences both on and off campus. This group is now ongoing through Fall 2022, and meets on Tuesdays from 1 - 2:30 pm. All students who are undocumented or formerly undocumented are welcome to attend. Students who participate can rest assured that their privacy is top priority to CAPS, and involvement in the group will remain confidential.

If interested, please contact rd_boardman@byu.edu to commence the CAPS intake process. If a student is looking for private one-on-one support, they are also encouraged to reach out to RD Boardman to be connected with a private clinician.
